SocialGO the social networking platform is looking for an additional developer to join the team.
You will be joining 6 developers in SocialGO’s office in funky Shoreditch. You will be responsible for working on various aspects of our application including the social networking, user experience, API’s and other core systems.
OO PHP 5, Javascript with experiance of frameworks specifically Symfony is required. MYSQL is the primary query language used so good experience here is also a must. You will be tasked with short projects and will be contributing to our weekly release cycle.
You will be joining at an exciting time. We have a growing customer base and the next year will be critical for SocialGO as we scale operations and continue to evolve the service.
Pay will be based on experience and we are looking for a start as soon as possible. We have a company share scheme which awards shares to all employees.

Social Network Sales and Support Executive

SocialGO is looking for a sales and support executive to join the team! The primary job role involves engaging customers on our live chat system directly selling the product, as well as providing general and technical support to thousands of social network websites that have been created using the SocialGO.com social networking platform. Additionally, the successful candidate will be encouraged to take on secondary responsibilities in an area of their interest such as software code development, graphic design and/or marketing, so they can establish longer term career paths.
We are looking for someone that has a strong background in computing, in particular digital media, internet software and social networking, to join a rapidly growing team at a leading online social networking platform called SocialGO.com. Ideally the candidate will have tertiary qualifications in computing and/or new media.
Key attributes include:
- Being very familiar with social networking sites, and the internet in general
- The ability to communicate clearly, both written and in speech
- Being able to handle complaints, even when handling unpleasant customers
- An eye for detail
- A pleasant, friendly and sociable personality
- A good problem solver
- An abundance of common sense(!)
Please note, an integral part of this role will include working some weekday evenings (for which you would be given a day off) and some weekend shifts (again, for which a day off in lieu is given). These shifts are worked out around each individual’s personal schedule, and in general can be a huge positive to breaking up the working week rather than a ‘chore’!
Salary: £18,000 p.a. for a permenant full time position
